The XM Canada channels are not just in Canada. They are common to the whole system. The Best of Sirius is at an added cost so no, you would not automatically have it.

So I best not phone XM Canada and let them know as I would probably lose the channels not available in Canada. I am assuming that I wouldn't be able to phone XM in the US and add the best of Sirius (didn't realize that it was optional) as the radio is registered in Canada. Thanks for the help.

why is it not live, as mc cown is 4pm live on 590AM, 7pm on sirius??? altho this does give you the option to listen at 4pm or 7pm,

You can use it, you just need to log into iTunes with a US account, and download the free app. Then activate the Skydock as you would any XM radio. I have a Skydock on it's way, and will report back after I get it going.

XM Canada announced today the launch of its first television show in collaboration with the National Hockey League. You will not be able to receive US programming on a Canadian sold radio. If you want to listen to the US programming, you need to purchase and register a US radio (US billing address etc). Radios sold in Canada cannot receive US programming as it is blocked by the software on the radio itself.

I'm really curious as to what app you will need on the iPhone to use this. If it's the existing Sirius/XM app, those of us in Canada with a US subscription are totally screwed.

I am having the same "warm up" issue. Installed the 726 in a 06 GMC with existing Bose system. Added the sterring wheel controler and I thought that the start up noise was due to the controler. Where did you buy the Sirius interface from? Thanks

Did your truck come with XM free for so many months? Maybe if it did they sub you to the american packages for the free months and when that ends you will have to give your radio ID shown on the preview channel to subscribe to the Canadian service...at which time you would lose that channel.

The CAA promos are for non subscribers and you have to buy a radio and subscribe thru them.

The Dodge has Sirius. The GMC has XM. You shouldn't lose signal 50% of the time. Check your menu in the antenna aiming section and see what your signal is. Do you get any signal with terrestrial?
