Nokatze you have two things really hurting your possibilities for anything but those CN Tower stations you are already getting: being on the first floor can sometimes be rough on reception, but facing north is the biggest problem. For Buffalo you'd have to hope that some building reflections will be working in your favour.

Benjamin It you raelly into this I can't tell enough what a difference a good antenna makes and you have outside access I would go for it,

Back up! I was beginning to think I'd have to rotate towards Buffalo for Letterman.

Indeed, and I suppose a greater transmission antenna height is preferred for overcoming odd terrain -- same as with receiving antennas.

42.1...nice addition. Are there any updates on CKVU10dt? Also, has CHEK6 analog reduced their signal, my reception has taken a nose dive.

Maybe if they get this fixed, they might as well address that stupid PSIP problem as well. Maybe we should do some digging and contact the right people? :P

This is not the first time they crash system, actually a few times, nothing new, likely nothing will be fixed However, after each *update*, their clock has gotten closer to the actual time...the last couple of months is *only* off by 40 minutes. I gotta to give it to them. They need to try harder to beat a broken analog clock that shows the correct time twice a day.

It is a possibilty that WNLO may be broadcasting more directional than WUTV & WNED.

Hi all, being newbie in the field of OTA, I was wondering if someone may have clue about this. I installed a Delhi 4BT-1483 about 15 feet off the ground pointed south, on the side of my building in Lasalle. I believe I have a clear view and I can get the following HD channels:
Radio-Canada (SRC)
NBC
FOX
PBS (33.1, 33.2, 33.3)
But I can't get CBS at all. My signal is about 0 - 31%....

You will get 18 or 19 HD and SD channels in SC with an outdoor antenna. Try a CM 4221 or 4228.

Does anyone have news about WCWF?
I checked this morning Fybush.com, google and the same old news.
I know that they should be RTN affiliate.
Don't know if they are On The Air.

citydragon, Not bad for a garbage antenna like the ANT711. Imagine what you could do with a good antenna like a CM 4221.

Animelee, why not run a longer cable to the other location so both antennas are near the same place?

Hi fellow Maritimers!
I live in Fredericton, NB and I am contemplating getting rid of my Bell Expressvu satellite and using an indoor antenna. I've bought and tried 2 Philips Antenna's that I got at Wal Mart. I only receive 3 channels (Global, CTV and CBC) which is fine as the only shows I watch are on those channels. But for some reason the channel that doesn't come in to my liking is CBC....

MachAbs those are very good results for a attic install, glad the preamp worked out well.
Great job.

I have not noticed any ill effects on Toronto or Hamilton stations since the US analog cut-off, however all of the US digitals signals have become stronger and more stable.
Could it be that the mixed bag of combinations of analog and digital broadcasts were hampering the digital signals?
Or are the freed airwaves making a cleaner signal path?
Are the digital signals from the ...

Just to be clear, by many years, 57 means up to 4. In August 2011 almost all stations in Canada will have to transition to digital broadcasting.
