You going to run a shift kit? Don't know your experience with them or what you've read, but it came highly recommend to me. I went with a stage 1 shift kit and absolutely love it. Having never driven a car with a shift kit before, I was worried about it being harsh. Happy to say it not only shifts NOW but it's not harsh at all. And, the firm shifts aid in dependability over the long run by reducing slippage and maintaining line...

You're right, there's tons of info about who and what trans shop to use. Best advice I can offer is, once you narrow down shops based on reputation and cost, find a shop who is willing to work with you - to build a transmission suited for your application and your driving needs.

I htink the dual cats might work better and if you go that route, i am not cure you need the main one then
Do you have visual inspection by you too?
the front ones are Pre-cats and the single one after the Y is the main cat.
on my old 89 I use to just run one main cat without issues

i've had both cars man, and i gotta tell ya, i didnt want to part with my camaro, but didnt have a choice. i wound up with an 84 z51 and i absolutely love it. my maro was fast, and so is my vette, but the vette just has a lot more sporty feel.
....plus its a vette....
