No, you can't have a hero with a drug addiction (at least not a serious one...or one that doesn't ruin their life ala Jack Bauer) and expect to get away with it. I'm not saying it's right (although in this case I think it might be) but that's just the way American rating systems work...if Guy Ritchie wanted this film to sell in America he was right to cut all mention of Cocaine. Especially because it's not...

The origin of orcs isn't entirely clear. It changes over time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orc_(Middle-earth)#Th ... It depends what you mean by "natural". Everything's created in Middle Earth. Orcs were either created by Morgoth from scratch, or they were twisted elves or men. It seems that Tolkien was going to settle on the latter (twisted men), which makes the most sense to me, but he died before writing it up...

I see your point, but men do the same thing with nerd conventions. We have scifi conventions, where basically the same level of obsession occurs. Double standard I say. If women enjoy this type of story, I see no reason why they should be looked down on for it.

I've only liked his movies when he wasn't attached to Madonna. Rock N Rolla was a lot better than Revolver or Swept Away, plus it had Tom Wilkinson, and you can't go wrong with him.
