Wrangler Silent Armor All Terrains?
Published (2009-12-04 15:05:00)
I'm still looking for a replacement set for the stock BFG rugged trails on the truck in my sig. Anyone running the Pro Grade Wrangler Silent Amor's in 275 70R17, or something comparable? These have a very high review score on tire rack, but that is based on all sizes and not necessarily heavy trucks. I carry about 1000lbs in tool boxes and equipment even when I'm "unloaded" and also add a 5 horse gooseneck...

I have 6 in. Fabtech, 2wd, rough ride on 22.5's Sumitomo tires, outside edge of front tires get beat up pretty bad when turning.

Slack Adjusters
Published (2009-12-09 13:03:00)
I figured they would either be Meritor, Rockwell, or Bendix, but i don't know anything about the non-auto slack adjusters. Different from what i'm used to seeing, especially that front one with the adjusting screw with a locking tab behind it. I prefer auto adjusters anyways.

17" wheels in 2002 f250

Axles are wider on '05 up. You need 2" spacers for those wheels.

17" on '08+ SRW? Will 17" rims (say 17x8 w/ 4.5" back spacing) fit '08+ Super Duties? I prefer a little more tire to rim, and 18"s tires are as much as 17" tires and new rims. Looks like there are some good e rated tires that are similar hieght to stock in 17"s. Thanks (I searched btw but 17" pulls everytime 17 was used in a post)...

You'll probably have to test fit. The 18" wheels off your superduty are 18x8 with a 45mm offset. The bolt pattern in 8-170. Our guide doesn't have accurate info on an 89 F350 for offset and width requirements but the bolt pattern and hub sizes match.
