I know one person who has over 112K mostly towing. He had a EGR sensor and the leaking radiator replaced. __________________ 08F250 CC 6.4 PSD Banks 6 gun/ram air

I had the same problem and Ford cleaned and dried out the back of the socket with air, till the part came in and changed the guts. Use the search function and you should find more threads on this.

Go with the 6.4L. Cummins is Number one in every category no doubt, fuel mileage, dependability, and modability. But the 6.4L is showing some of the same characteristics, there are very very few trucks that have the horror stories that people have mentioned. Take Ford's 4.5 MILLION vehicle recall due to a faulty cruise control switch(which was manufactured by Texas instruments NOT Ford). Now factor in the total number of vehicles that...

I do allot of highway driving. Speed around 75-80mph. This will be interesting to compare the 6.4 to the 6.7 CTD. I at best saw 15mpg with that rig.

You need a 36mm socket, 1/2" drive about 8 bucks at Sears, The socket will fit all the filter caps. I use a 3/8 to 1/2" adapter so I can use my 3/8 Ratchet a little tight but it will work. I also use a 3/8 air ratchet, speeds up the process. I drain the frame mounted filter 1st. I use a 1 lb coffee can for a catcher, should get about a half a can. Hope this helps

By bucking and jerking do you mean it feels like the engine is surging and the truck is surging fore and aft, or the truck is bouncing up and down in the front or rear? What kind of trailer is it and what kind of tongue weight/pin weight does it have? Type of hitch?

If you do a search you will find much info on this topic, but basically it is your truck starting a regen cycle when the DPF isn't up to temp so it is basically throwing all of the unburnt fuel out of the tail pipe. I would guess that your truck is a job 1 with the original computer program on it. This thing was addressed in future flashes.
