I'm going to dry brine this year. I've wet brined the last couple of years and gotten good results but dry is supposed to be even better, so I'm giving it a whirl this year. http://www.latimes.com/theguide/holi...,4954438.story

How to freeze 10lb of potatoes?
Published (2009-11-22 23:52:00)
You can semi prepare them and freeze them. I made up 10lbs of oven fries once several months ago. It makes a super easy and handy side dish. Anyway, read through this ladies info. She has a hashbrown recipe that I haven't tried, but supposedly its a great one. The big deal is that you need to partly cook the potatoes with hot water (or with the oven fries they got a few minutes in the oven)....

I use a box. It works well when I find recipes online. I just print them out and clue the ingredients to the front and recipes on the back of an index card.

I haven't made the coconut milk kind, but I know when I make crockpot dairy
yogurt, it is very thin. I've drained mine through a few layers of paper
towel in a colander, and that helps. Not sure if it'll work with yours, but
worth a try, right? Or maybe you could use as is in smoothies?

Well, I freeze the batter all the time, but I don't know about already baked cookies, they might taste a little funky coming out. I scoop my batter with a tiny little ice cream scoop, put all the balls in a freezer container, and then when we want cookies I can just take a few out at a time and bake them (still frozen). It works really well for oatmeal and choc. chip cookies, I don't see why it...

I make all desserts ahead of time, cranberry sauce, gravy, prep all ingredients for veggie dishes and dressing so I can spend a minimum of time futzing with them on the big day.

I make the regular stuff, turkey, I add ground rosemary/tyme and sage to it along with salt/pepper once it is buttered. I cook my turkey in an 18 qt Rotiserrie so I don't really need to keep an eye on it and it comes out perfect every year.
I do my stuffing half and half, half goes into the turkey and half into the crockpot.
In my stuffing I cut up some celery/onion/olives and apples. For ...
