So Thanksgiving was interesting. I did eat carby foods, BUT much less than before. I was really choosy. I love stuffing, so had a cup of that, then mostly turkey and ham. I had half-slices of pumpkin and apple pie. And a cup of apple ice cream. The apple ice cream is a tradition of sorts, so I 'suffered' through it. Dh was a wonderful shield at his family's house. He filled my plate with meats, asparagus and a tbs of cranberry...

This is not a good week/day. I'm so way over my points its not even funny. I'm not sure why I'm struggling so much this week. I had such a good loss week that you'd think I'd be able to keep up the tracking and such. But I keep telling myself tomorrow is another day and I can have restraint. For those who've used the WW online is it worth the cost? I've tried fitday and such and I can't seem to get into...

you did great Ami. I bet in four more days you'll be down 3 lbs I always found that after one day of a planned "off plan" day my body sort of jump-started it's loss again.

Yay, another challenge! I need these or else I fall off the wagon. I'll get today's stats when I get dressed later. This time I am going to try to only weigh myself 1x a week. I guess it'll be Friday mornings since today is Friday. My goal is going to be 160, probably 3 or 4 pds that will need to be lost, that will be about 1 pd a week with a buffer because my SIL is coming to visit the 19th. Today I have to skip the gym and...

Re: How to get started... JnS Momma, you make it sound so easy lol. I've been drinking a ton of water and find that I'm not wanting to snack so much that way. I'm a little sloshy though. I'm excited about losing weight, and determined. I will definatey be looking at babyfit.com too thanks for the link. We're suppose to be getting some pretty bad storms here in the next couple of days so walking will be out and I...

A year ago I was 162 after just having a baby, and now I'm down to 142. My short term goal is to get in the 130s... almost there!! My long term goal is 125-130, and I hope to be there by next spring. I'm doing WW and exercising(mostly running) 5-6 days/wk. Good luck to you ladies, especially as we brave the tempting holiday yummies!

***Bekki, are you doing the South beach diet, or was that someone else? Just wondering, is it good to cut out dairy if your BF? I know my neice did the program I am doing while BF but she was allowed 3 of the following a day~8oz ff milk, 2oz of cheese (no slice) or 8oz plain fatfree yorgert.
I'm Traci, I am doing a program that cuts out sugar and flour. I eat 3 heathy meals a day. I started ...

Gall Bladder problems
Anyone have or dealt with a bad Gall Bladder? From what Ive found on the net (nothing bad) I think I have a bad gall bladder. Like once every couple weeks, usually at night, I get this really bad pain. The only way to describe it is saying it feels like a heart attack. It last anywhere from 30 min to an hour or ...

Re: November Weight Watchers?
Can I join you too? I was here about a year ago as well. I lost a few lbs and then stopped. Started up again in June and lost 15lbs more then fell off the wagon. Somehow I've maintained what I lost despite eating terrible and very little exercise. I really think if I would buckle down and count points and ...

Re: Personal Goals
My goal weight is 130 lbs. I started at 162 and am now at 147 so I'm making progress. I'm hoping to be at my goal weight by my birthday which is in January. I'm counting calories and getting 1 hour of excercise at least 5 days a week. It's a total grind but I want the weight gone!! I have a buddy who I check in with. So ...

I've lost 24lbs so far and am still a meat and potaotes girl! I still love to BBQ steak, bake potatoes and sautee mushrooms (in fat free italian salad dressing and lemon juice) and then steam up some broccoli. I really decent sized meal of that is way under 300 calories!
We do use wholegrain brown rice but don't eat it often as a half cup is 110 calories and usually it is just a side dish....

I don't usually listen to music.
I have a lot of techno on my mp3 player for if I decide to run or ride my stationary bike with music...though the ear buds bother me more than the music motivates me
I do want to make an 80's pop play list....yep I'm old and love the music from my teen age years.

I bought a yoga for pregnancy DVD for this reason. I researched a few to find something that fit with my usual style and got one I liked. Downward Dog is actually probably good for you, as it's very similar to the position that is often suggested to help turn babies in utero.
A lot of it is just listening to what your body is telling you and not overstretching. Oddly, I feel tighter since ...

I think I would recommend starting every other day.
I have 4 different sculpting dvd's that I split it up with and I do a dvd every other day, shred usually gets done 1 or 2 times a week for me. I think doing the same moves every single day slows down progress which is why I switch it up with other programs.

start by taking a walk each day- even if it's just around the block. Start small and work up. Once you start you will find yourself wanting to go further and go longer and do more! You've got to make it a priority and a commitment!

Hmm, that's a difficult question. I gave my dd soy milk for a while b/c she was allergic to the protein in cow's milk, but then discovered that high levels of estrogen have been found in overly processed soy products, like soy milk (but not whole soy like tofu). Anyhoo, we switched to rice milk after that, I try to steer clear of anything that's going to mess with hormones. We also do a little...
