cristi those look nice! i was able to finish another row on the checker board i'm making today. tomorrow i hope to get one more making me half done with the row or i'm gonna sew the 3 i have done together just so i can feel like some kind of progress is getting done. i don't know. but atleast i worked on it.

I don't know where in Canada you are, but depending on your budget you can order American Apparel at wholesale from Budget T-shirts in Vancouver. Their minimum is reasonable IMO and that is where I get my AA from. I also keep my eyes open through the year and buy blanks when I find them at Please Mum, Old Navy and GAP and if I am in a pinch I buy Cherokee at Zellers. I stay away from Walmart at all costs because their George Brand (We...

The only reason I'm wanting to put velcro on some of diapers is b/c MIL has arthritis and can't really do snaps, and is snappi impaired lol. I've never tried pinning, but I don't think DH likes them.

Curtains for a bare living room window, hairbows,legwarmers, & tutu's for a craft sale, I'd like to make the fam some holiday pj's - that's 6 sets!, & I'm still thinking about one of those felt play houses!

I started with a rubbermaid tower with drawers. Then I added an under-the-bed type tote with them. I have since added 3 milk crates and that's just for wool The rest is stashed around the house, a bunch in a footstool the cat uses to look out the window, some in a rack my MIL bought me, and still more in wire/crate stacking system. Dh says he's going to build me better storage eventually.

Kool Aide will only work with wool/silk or other animal fibers. For cotton/bamboo youy can use dylon whihc is sold at most fabric stores and is easy to use.

Adorable!! What kind of fleece do you use for the outer? And how many layers? I made a pocket with blizzard fleece as an outer and microfleece as the inner... I stuffed it with a microfiber insert (4 layers thick) but I got soaked!! (lol I was holding her on my chest, we were a nappin'). My son enjoys the crayon roll I made for him and is looking forwrad to making some finger paints.BUT I would say that if your hubby is good with wood, my husband made our son a hot wheel ramp that he can race hot wheels down a few at a time and it is one of his most favortie things

Yay! Thank you! I love spinning but know sooooo little about it. I've been spinning for about 2 months.
Wheel or spindle both? I use a top whorl spindle. It is certainly nothing fancy, just hardware store stuff! However, I love love love spinning on it!

I've only heard of rice and beans...however in some reviews i read when considering making these for christmas gifts, more people seemed to prefer rice, but people do use beans
