While I was at the doctor on the 7th he said he was prescribing me lisinopril too. I looked at him kind of puzzled and said I have
high blood pressure too. He said no, I'm putting you on this because it also prevents kidney damage. I had no idea. Every doctor I had before this one never said or tried to do anything to help. I think things are looking up for me now. But Lisinopril..a ...

Hi All
I've just been diagnosed via CT Scan with RAS. In other words a narrowing of a Kidney Artery which is causing uncontrollable high blood Pressure.
Looks like I'm going to have a stent put in to improve
blood flow and hopefully reduce my high BP.
Has anyone here had this done?
I'm not looking forward to it and future prospects for that matter.
Regards to All

Benfotiamine is the more active
lipid soluble form of B1. It is a popular supplement with diabetics who believe it may prevent neuropathy and kidney disease. A search here in DD will find many postings.

Hi there. I remember having a borderline to slightly high protein count when I was about your age, after having had T1 for about 10 years as well. I was able to stop spilling by tightening my control, and I haven't had a
positive test in about 15 years. Though I'm in the 5s for A1Cs now, it didn't take that--I remember the protein going away in the low 7s--so maybe it won't take too much. ...
