Checked my weight today. Have lost about 1 kg in 15 days. So i think that is good enough as my doc asked me to lose about 2 kg with another 20 days to go till next appointment with him. Also my random glucose was 118 on saturday evening (less that what it was earlier) so I think I am making progress. Regards

Home workout routine?

I have used those at the gym and I find that they are very low impact and are good for your upper back. My Chiro recommended it to me for my upper back and neck problems. I don't get a chance to go to the gym as much though. What I have noticed is that the more intense your excercise the more more your blood sugar goes up, there is some literture that claims stress raises BG levels, I get that effect when I lift weights. What I'm...

I use mine alot, due to the constant rain & wind here. I do the jogging alot. It's really funny - if you run too fast, you are tripped up! & also hula hooping & the step dance. When my son is here I have a few games of bowling.

I tired to talk my youngest into asking for a Wii for Christmas so that I could buy some of the workout games for myself. He didn't go for it so I may just might wait until after Christmas and give in and get one for me.

Some of this is silly, but here's what I do when weather is not agreeable: jumping/dancing (I have a toddler, so he enjoys this as well), pushups and situps, mopping and vacuuming VIGOROUSLY (you can actually get your heartrate up and sweat, esp. if you lunge while you do it). Anything that gets you really moving, even in short bursts, counts.

Frustration #1) Highs when I do anaerobic work--ie super setting, hard row session, etc...
Frustration #2) Lows when I do aerobic, light-med work--ie) walking, hroseback riding, long run, etc...
Sometimes the highs are minimized by eating beforehand...but otherwise they seem to occur whether my BG is 5.4 or 10.9 before the workout. I don't like being the rower in the boat that slows ...

My girlfriend liked David Carradine's Tai Chi dvd for beginners. Carradine wasn't all that good at it, but the instructor had a lot of time in front of the camera and was very impressive.
Hope this helps.

Welcome from someone else near GR. Once I went on a ketogenic low carb diet, I haven't had troubles with dropping during exercise. I usually end up spiking some. It sounds like you are completely off meds now??? No basal insulin or sulfonylureas to influence your levels?

I have one, and I just hate wearing it. It was very useful in the beginining to understand what my heart rate was doing, but now it gets in my way. It is helpful feedback.
For the "support" women need, they can get the monitor part built into a support garment. This might not make it soo bad.

Hope someone can shed some light for me...
I've noticed that if I do exercise a bit more than my usual... my weight goes up the next day... and doesn't come down until a few days later... and when i say its goes up... its like going up 1-2kg then gradually comes down after that to the original weight again...
Can someone explain this please? Thanks!

Shoot... I think I pulled my groin muscle while running in the treadmill today. I am bummed. Has anyone experienced this? How long should I rest? Arghh... It really sucks that I won't be able to exercise for a while. What other types of exercise can I do? Help!
