I use Neowebspace.com services and I can honestly say that I had no downtime. Server and network uptime is pretty great. Moreover, I have perfect technical support service and they are usually very quick to answer my questions and solve any problem. I should also mention that the price is really cheap for web hosting plans and I am also really happy with the availability of the features that I can simply install from cPanel control panel....

I don't see anything bad in dealing with reputable host like marblehost.com, buying web hosting plan and getting free domain name. Besides, they offer reasonable price for their plans and I think that you will have nice hosting opportunities dealing with them.

Being in your place, I'd stick to serverpoint.com as they have a long history in the IT industry and their reputation is high and stable. Prices are quite affordable. Support is top-notch.

I see no points in discounts. There are companies offering their quality services for the full price which is lower than sometimes discounted one, and considering this is the constant value unlike discounted, I think it is more reasonable as well.
To give an example I named webhostgiant.com. compare the deals and you'll see what do I mean!

I think it is only reasonable when you host with accredited registrar, otherwise you may loose the domain as soon as you migrate from the named hosting.
Such services are particularly given by sibername.com .
