Replacement chains can be found that use a master link so that you don't have to split the cases but the real problem lies in that when the chain broke you
may have bent a valve also. You could take a chance on just replacing the chain, resetting the timing, adjusting the valves and hoping for the best but if you
are planning on keeping the bike and getting some real miles out of it then I would ...

I guess I'm not really clear on the problem. The low end idle should be no less than 1100 RPM and I have mine set closer to 1200. These motors are really
noisy at idle from the clutches add to that loose cam chains, bad sych on the carbs, valve adjustments and they can make all kinds of noise. I try to only run
92 octane also. Could it be any of those type noises that you are hearing or is it a ...

nope.
gear ratios (if there's a 18 on front.)
40/18=2.2 (big one turns one time, little one turns 2.2 times)
46/18=2.56
the higher number means you'll be spinning more rpm at any given speed and therefor redline sooner and your top speed will be less.
um, i think.

you should be able to unscrew the collar on the coil and replace the wire. might as well do all of them.
or you could get rid of the garbage stock coils and install
gm hei automotive coils.

I'm get n ready to extend mine Havoc. I plan to cut it 1" or 2" behind the
pivot point. streach it out to length. Then add flat 12ga. plate to
the top and bottom. I will add tube to the sides to macth what I've got. I need to check the tubeing to see what size I'll need. I will put a piece on
the inside for strength.
