Here is a few shots of my seat mounted, now i just need a passenger seat and sissy bar. I will eventually get some forward controls, maybe after the holidays. You can kind of see what i did, i took a solo seat with springs and front pivot mount, removed the springs and bent the ears on the front pivot mount straight and used the 2 bolts that hold the front battery mount to bolt the seat bracket down. The seat has a brace welded on the bottom...

i'm following you now, man. i think you're asking for trouble. that's gonna be way more than 5 degrees... unless i'm missing something. measure the distance from the swingarm pivot to the lower shock mount. then measure the distance from the swingarm pivot to the upper shock mount. you'll see that they're pretty much the same distance (right around 18" on my 1100.) this relationship is the key. if you...

when you change the angle of the shock, you limit the effectiveness of absorbing the bumps, and as a result you can damage the shock. When I first built my bike, I used lowering blocks which layed the shocks down a little. It was like riding a hardtail. when I got the 11" shocks it rode much better, yet sat at the same height it did with the lowering blocks. just use a shorter shock. It'll save your ass. lol freebyrd
