For some strange reason, Lieberman is being used as some sort of fall guy....

Wisconsin may lose with 2010 census
Published (2009-12-20 21:30:00)
Wisconsin could be undercounted in the 2010 census because of unclear instructions and consequently could jeopardize federal funds and seats in Congress. The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin is warning that the census forms that will be mailed in March have inadequate instructions for people who spend the winter in southern locations but still have a permanent residence in Wisconsin. During the 1990 and 2000 censuses, there were...

My dad has alzheimer's, and I want to spend as much time with him while I can. I couldn't do that living 3 hours away and serving a fulltime church, so I'm taking at least a year off. Besides, church often sucks. I've been here since July, and love being back home. Life is good!

A new person with only a few posts to their credit seemed to be upset that you were dissing Russ (obviously didn't read your post thoroughly) and mentioned the words "troll" and "Palin" if I remember correctly . Thanks to whoever alerted the mods on this person's language. I was just steamed on your behalf.

do they actually have to teach it or do they just have to have a unit prepared. I remember in my history classes when i was growing up, even though the history books covered up to the fairly recent past, I don't remember ever getting past 1900. While I admit that the span of time between 1900 and current times was much shorter then, the fact remains that those units never made it to the class room. I wonder if these will.

But you're right, I don't think our U.S. history class ever got much past the League of Nations.

..at Feingold's position. This could be seen as a right wing forum hack. I have no doubts, nor would I consider even questioning Feingold's stance on this issue or other issues. Try not speculating or someone may call you a 'troll'. Focus people. Don't get off track with this kind of nonsense. You could be listening to VP Palin....

... Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), among the most vocal supporters of the public option, said it would be unfair to blame Lieberman for its apparent demise. Feingold said that responsibility ultimately rests with President Barack Obama and he could have insisted on a higher standard for the legislation. This bill appears to be legislation that the president wanted in the first place, so I dont...

I highly doubt it will be here! I'm thinking West Coast, where they still have seasons but not such severe ones. Like Portland, Seattle, northern CA, etc. I love looking at snow, but I'd prefer to see it far away on a mountaintop! One of our kids lives on that side of the country, an added argument for the case.

Feingold needs to be convinced that whatever public option ends up in the SB is public *enough*.
