Edited on Sun Nov-29-09 09:32 PM by doc03 in the hay fields and picked apples in the fall. Farmers can't find kids today that will do that kind of work, they want to work in the mall where they don't get dirty. I'll take that back the Amish still work on the farm.

those anti-union jackasses love their two day weekends and the fact that they aren't working in the Sinclairian jungle. union workers work hard and demand fair pay and working conditions. it's hard to imagine why an otherwise rational person would be against that.

How many times did factory workers burn to death because the owners were too worried about theft to provide fire escapes before our country passed safety laws? Would we have those laws if not for the Unions? How often are these same tragedies repeated in developing countries? I'm not necessarily looking for a bunch of statistics; it's more of a rhetorical question to get us all to think.
