Quinn or Hynes?

senator mark kirk, try on your crown and scepter. david hoffman is fine man, and very clean, but he is as appealing as canned beans. another white guy with a gold plated law degree. whoopdedoo. yes, he spent the last 16 years in prosecutor-type offices. people aren't all that drawn to that, either. then we have a choice between dan hynes and alexi gialnoulias-family money and family connections. another whoop. the only hope we have is...

Edited on Thu Nov-05-09 03:23 PM by Kittycat I have a gripe with Foster, and his inability to even respond via form letter/email to anything sent to his office (by phone or email). After all the doors I knocked on (in multiple precincts), and being a PC - I think I deserve at least a generic acknowledgment to the many letters sent. I mean I came to expect that of Hastert, but had higher hopes for Foster. One of our county party officials even...

Not to worry, if you're free saturday Nov. 14 at 2:00 pm, just show up at Goose Island on Clybourn. I for sure will be there regardless and probably 4 or 5 others. That's PLENTY for a party, LOL

That's my advice, because driving to commute from one of the neighborhoods to Streeterville can be hell (and expensive to park). Some possibilities: Lincoln Square (good restaurants and street life), Ravenswood, Andersonville. These are all pretty far north, yet still commutable by public transport. But if you can't find a single-family house in your price range, consider a smaller condo building. We live just on the edge of the...

It makes me sick. At least you have Foster. We are trying in vain to get rid of Manzullo. He has an opponent, who is announcing his candidacy tomorrow. That Sauk Valley newspaper called me the other day to see if we wanted a subscription. I told them their editorial policy was right wing. The guy told me he was surprised that I would say that. No one else had ever said that. On another ...

Except for the large thrifts that dabbled in sub-prime, I'm going to hazard a somewhat educated guess (I'm a mortgage banker) that most if not all the sub-prime lenders are already kaput. Have been for over a year. A small bank like First Du Page may have service a sub-prime customer by brokering the loan but they would never carry ...

But there is a diary over at Dkos http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/9/10/173959/249 ***UPDATE: Shimkus has no Democratic challenger yet for 2010. The best way to toss the idiot an anchor at this point is to contribute to The Progressive Change Campaign Committee. Then keep an eye out for the Democratic primaries in IL-19, and contribute to his challenger. ***UPDATE 2: akdude6016 says ...
