What you see below is a screenshot of my nVidia control panel however, I do not WANT this version of the control panel and I don't remember which version of the control panel I had before I installed a couple of Raptor drives. The version I had listed settings for my GPU under the performance column, which had the option to control my fans directly or automatically, my gpu temps, and...

My old computer died so I got the 630i.  So far I'm loving it as my old box was over 7 years old.   I have the two IDE HDDs from my old box and I'd like to get the data off of them and into the new box.  I'd also like to keep my old data drive as a data store on the new XPS.   I have connected my old primary HDD and when I try and boot, the XPS hangs at the bios load screen.  If ...

I have xps 730 which everybody knows that it consumes as much as a 5 refrigerator.  Should I let on all the time or shut it down.  If i shut it down, will it tax my 730 for turning it off and on.?

I have a new XPS One fresh out of the box.  Going to Media Center, the sound comes up very loud for the tv stations.  I have the sound down to 2 on the slider in the icon tray and wherever else I can adjust the sound.  I can't seem to get it to 1 but at 2 it is too loud.  What can I do?

Hi,   newbie... I got the XPS 630 this morning.  I am still trying to copy all my stuffs from my old computer.  So, I am playing around with control panel... I am checking the temperature.  The GPU is running at 70+C.  It seems very hot.   There is an option in the "Device Rule" that can adjust the fan speed based on the temperature.  So, I pick the default rule to adjust the fan ...

I am trying to install a Chipset Driver on an XPS730.  I first downloaded the Nforce 790i SLI/790 Ultra SLI driver to a DVD from the Nvidia web site.  If I go into Device Manager  am I correct the chipset driver is under Computer?  The procedure I use is to go to add/remove programs and remove the NVIDIA drivers prior to installing the new driver.  But everytime I reboot after ...

1. When I purchased a Dell XPS gen 4 the sales person hardly spoke english. 2. Somehow I ended up getting a 56k modem in my PCI (never been used). 3. The drives got wiped 3 months after purchase. (lost all the cool fonts) 4. The sold me a 925X board that hardly takes advantage of PCI express. 5. At the time a ASUS A8N-SLI was about $120. 6. They sold me a $30 motherboard for $...

Hi all.   I was looking into buying a couple of Dell XPS 730 for my visual effects company. However I've read different blogs on the Net about the XPS 710 being very unstable, and customers being very unhappy with Dell XPS Support. Check out one blog here: http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dcs9cx8x_422g53c vqgv   Is the 730 more stable than 710? And are there other people ...

I ordered a new Dell XPS 730 on July 19, 2009. The computer was dispatched by Dell July 26, 2008. Since I received the computer, it has a crackling sound coming from the speakers while streaming video and sound. Dell first diagnosed that the computer's fans were not working properly and dispatched a technician for replacement but the crackling sound issue was not solved. A week later...

New member here, just got my 630i this week, and love it so far. I understood the 8X PCI express thingy before I bought it, dont think its really going to make a huge difference with 2 cards in there. They are offering it from the factory with 64 bit SP1 home premium, so the drivers all have to be up to snuff now, as of when I ordered it they were still saying no support for the 64 ...
