After only 6 weeks of receiving a new 47" Phillips HDTV I was informed by a local service center (the tv is having video problems) that there will be no parts available for a MINIMUM of 12 weeks as Phillips is getting a new source for their parts. They advised me to ask Dell to exchance my tv since it was only 6 weeks old but after talking to 4 different people including a supervisor ...

This is a strange problem.  I have numerous TV shows and movies recorded with windows media center saved on my hard drive.  I recorded them once -- I did not choose to record series.  But when that same movie or tv show is on the TV schedule again, media center shows that it is scheduled to record it once again.  I have to manually delete it.  Today it scheduled itself to record an ...

I have two Dell Studio Hybrids running Windows Home Premium. They are pretty well spec'd with the 2.1GHZ processor and 3Gb RAM. Hoever when you try to play a DVD in windows media centre the playback is blocky and generally unwatchable. If you use Dell media Direct software the DVD play's fine. Does anyone have a Dell Studio Hybrid that will play DVD's? Mine doesn;t have the blueray ...

Please can someone advise which settings i need to change to allow me to connect my laptop (via HDMI) to my TV / Amp to allow me to watch BlueRay DVDs on my High-Def projector or TV?   Currently i am unable to get a picture or sound output on my TV, although things are fine when watching on the laptop itself.   Also, my Blue-ray drive seems very noisy - does anyone else have this...

I just received a Studio Hybrid, but so far I can't get it activate the second monitor (it remains disabled). It is looking to me that although the Studio Hybrid has two video ports on the back (DVI & HDMI), the system will only use 1st monitor. If that is the case, it is very disappointing. In 2008 duel monitor support is a standard feature in all mid range PCs or better, not just ...

Unlike other reports here the sound just went OFF the other day.  I can play TV sound through a separate amp only. The manufacturer must have put a timer on the sound board based on all these responses from past 2 weeks!! This TV is a little over 2 years old and gets turned on no more than twice a week. I will not reward DELL with further business if this is not resolved. I'm not ...

Would like to connect my TV to my computer and have no idea where to start.  Want to be able to watch online video/streaming content or whatever I'm seeing on my Monitor thru my Television.  I have a Dell Optiplex 740 desktop unit. Don't think it has whatever an S-video is. On the back, it really only has the norm - Video port, serial port and parallel port.  TV has basic connector: ...
