Greetings. I encountered the very same issues/questions. Here is the resolution:
Open up Windows Explorer
Navigate to – “C:\program files\Dell Datasafe local backup\components\dsupdate\dsupdate.exe”
Double click dsupdate.exe to manually update the application
It will update to the new version of Dell DataSafe Local and install a patch.

Some of the models don't have DSS. My

The first question is did you order and pay the extra for Office? I know in the past that Dell would install a
trial version of Office and if you wanted it you would need to purchase it to get the key. Now if you did pay for it you need to recheck the box that the computer came in and see if the disks are in there. The key will be on the back of the evelope for the disk. If it is not there you ...

Download manager has been known to cause problems. Generally, uninstall the Downloadmanager and delete the cookie for it. Then just download whatever drivers you want individually, not with the Download manager.

question. The answer is no. As long as FastAccess is installed, it's user "tile" will appear on the login screen.The good news is that there is no harm whatsoever in clicking it.
