"No VGA" message
Published (2009-12-25 18:22:00)
DaveTqwer: Yes, I realize that but I was referring to the fact that it's burning power to display the useless "No VGA" message, that it wouldn't otherwise consume if it had a black screen - no? No The power just to have the monitor on will be the same as with that message. Have you thought of pushing the power button on the monitor? If you turn the monitor off it uses no power at all.

You wouldn't have happened to purchased a E228WFP, would you? There are multiple people experiencing the same exact problem as you. And I myself have suspecting an overheating component somewhere, since it happens far less often in cold weather (when it is cold in the house). If I turn off the monitor whenever I leave and don't leave it on too long when I'm using it, I can avoid too many problems, but it can get really...

Its a bit difficult because I'm trying to compare on the same screen so I am interested to hear how it compares between your two screens Brightness 75 Constrast 70 Input Color Format RGB Gamma PC Mode Selection Graphics Preset Modes sRGB Wide Mode Fill...

Auto Detect Power Save shut down...
Published (2009-12-28 20:25:00)
Ok, found it. Power save is set for 3 hours. Also, after a black out episode, when the system reboots, another black out episode occures in a much shorter time (5-10 minutes).

U2410 Green/Pink Failure Analysis
Published (2009-12-28 17:52:00)
Thanks vgosselin, Yes did some serious reading on the 2 NEC's which appear very good. Money being no object, the NEC's and Eizo's would have been of interest. NEC seemed to be close to on a par with the Eizo but more reasonable on price, still double that of the u2410. There is no question that quality control and image consistency across the screen are the big reason for this cost difference. They have a feature that...

I am runnng Windows 7 Ultimate on an Optiplex 755 system with EVGA GT220 video card. I started with the HDMI connection and the monitor would just have a floating GUI that says " No HDMI cable connected" or something like that. The monitor does not go to sleep at all and you can see that there is power to the it. Switched to the DVI connection and it would turn off the monitor normally I it goes off completely and then wakes...

The two 24" 2407WFP's I bought a couple of years back actually came with 4 year warranties, but to the best of my knowledge, all brand new Dell monitors carry a 3 year warranty as standard? So you're saying you let a one month old 22" Dell LCD gather dust for basically three whole years, before deciding to try and do something about it... yourself "All's well that ends well", but...

next i would go a head and complete the form on dells site for 'unresolved issues.' https://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.asp x/support/dellcare/outstanding_issues?c=us&l=en&s= gen&redirect=1
furthermore i would not hesitate filing a report with...

What specific monitor model is it? I do not recognize JNQXGI. What ports have you tested on the monitor? Does the monitor pass the Self Test? STFC (Self Test Feature Check) * Turn the monitor off * Disconnect all monitor cords from the PC video card and the monitor USB cable from the PC * Turn the monitor on * The floating red/green/blue/white dialog box should appear on screen against a black ...

The 3007 only accepts 2560x1600 DVI-D Dual Link or 1280x800 DVI-D Single Link cable. Cnce the PS3 HDMI is connected to the monitor DVI, power on the monitor, then power on the PS3 and holding the button for 6 seconds to force the PS3 into default settings. Then go into the PS3 menu and switch to HDMI.

If I have these 2 monitors in a dual monitor configuration and drag picture from Dell screen to Samsung screen you can see yellow go away as it is dragged across. * I need to see some pictures of this.
