Exchange Server information
Published (2009-11-17 09:26:00)
Thanks for the reply As you said "users are encouraged to archive their old / personal mails to pst files and store them on a server share that could be backed up." but user's don't have access to server it is the system admininstrator who handle all this. so exchange server is useful to just configure company's employee e-mail id in MS Outlook i.e, in user local hdd just need some clarification. by...

Exchange Server information
Published (2009-11-17 09:42:00)
Users manage their own mailbox by either deleting mails or moving mails to pst files. Users should have some network space via server shared folders that they can use to store whatever files they want including pst files. Administrators can only limit the size of a mail box after that it is up to the user to manage their mailbox. Some versions of Outlook can cache the whole mailbox onto a users system which means they can access their mailbox...

That is true but I plugged in a couple other mics, jack and USB, and both did not work. It's like the mic's volume is muted permenately. Yes, I have changed the mic settings to high and I also did the microphone boost.

How did you install the Home Premium and what version 32 bit or 64 bit? Did you do a complete new install from Discs?
On a new install the correct and required sequence is (1) Install Windows (2) Install Dell desktop system software (on some models) (3) Install chipset drivers (4) Install Device drivers such as the Dell sound, video, eithernet, etc.
As the status of the SigmaTel is "...

Wrong forum section. This section is for AUDIO problems. You probably meant to post in the General Hardware section.
Lights 2 and 4 according to the Dell manual is a graphics card problem.
Reseat the Video card, in case it was "disturbed" during the hard drive install. Otherwise it would appear the second drive you installed is causing the problem.
For more assistance, repost in ...

Try turning on sound enhancements and then turn them off to see if that makes any difference.
If it does not help, make sure you have the Dell sound drivers and then go to the Device Manager and uninstall the sound and the drivers, restart the PC and the sound will be detected but DO NOT allow Windows to search for drivers or install any drivers - cancel that function. Reinstall the Dell ...

Since you physically moved the PC and now it does not work, there could be an internal cabling problem. Open up the PC, with the PC powered off, and check the cabling from the front panel to the motherboard and if you have a separate soundblaster sound card, if there is a separate cable from the front panel to the sound card check that it is fully connected. Same way with the cables at the ...

I'm encountering a similar problem as the earlier post on this thread. I have a Vostro 200 with Vista as the operating system. My mic works on another computer, but not on my Vostro. When the mic is not plugged in and I open Sound Recorder, an error message says "an audio recording device cannot be found", which sounds reasonable. When I plug in my mic and open Sound Recorder, it opens fine,...

Do you have the (Retail) Creative ( SoundBlaster) Windows 7 drivers? From other posts on the audio section it appears the Xfi sound cards must have Windows 7 drivers to work correctly in Windows 7. In most cases the Vista hardware drivers also work in Windows 7, since Win 7 is basicallly Vista, but the SoundBlaster Xfi's must have Windows 7 specific drivers.

First, thing, have you disabled the Integrated (on the motherboard) audio in the BIOS (setup)? If not, that is step one.
Second, Install (or reinststall) the Intel chipset drivers, then install the SoundBlaster drivers. One of the main things the chipset drivers do is define (identify) what devices are on or attached to the motherboard. On a new install the correct and required sequence ...

I also just recently got the rundll error, but this time with an "invalid access" message.
I've had my inspiron e1705 for almost 3 years now without this problem. Scourging my hd for some extra space, I went through my program list and removed the "creative jukebox drivers" install that came with the laptop, which i think is what triggered the whole mess. ("what's this? I've never touched ...

You should have an audio cable connected from the GREEN speaker out jack on the PC to the audio input on the sound bar. This cable has 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo plugs on each end.
There is also a power connection to the sound bar. Some get power from the monitor and some have a separate power transformer. Whichever you have, make sure the sound bar has power as it won't work without power, ...

The GREEN speaker jack is directly wired to the motherboard for Integrated audio, no extra wiring.
Have you tried a regular headset plugged into the front panel headset jack to see if there is audio? I don't know how the USB headsets work and if they automatically mute the speaker, like plugging a regular headset into the front panel headphone jack. If you remove (unplug) the USB headset ...
