If your judge is truly lay, then using terms like T and
inherency will of course confuse them. Calling them dumb is also not particularly helpful (you didn't know what they meant at one time either).
Adaptation is key. If your judge doesn't know the jargon, then explain the concept behind the principle in the way it was explained to you.

Well, I haven't had too much debate experience, but I've found that turns
work pretty well. We say that X legislation will not pass in the status quo
and passing our plan gets Obama more pol cap, helping X legislation pass.

easier to use folders or computers?
is it easier to find and read stuff using folders, and accordian folders
or is it easier to keep everything electronic, and read from you computer?
