Quote: SOMEWHERE there are still peoples and herds, but not with us, my brethren: here there are states. A state? What is that? Well! open now your ears unto me, for now will I say unto you my word concerning the death of peoples. A state, is called the coldest of all cold monsters. Coldly lieth it also; and this lie creepeth from its mouth: "I, the state, am the people." It is a lie! Creators were they who created peoples,...

I have a question. I was recently suspended and I am not quite sure why. The moderator in question, who I have personal differences with, did not have the courtesy or the integrity to post the reason. The moderator in question then went and deleted the thread. All I am asking for is a reason so I do not repeat the PERCEIVED infraction. No names were mentioned in the thread title. No moderators were called out by me. No moderating decisions...

570. Distract in election (9/14/08) What has the Republican government done in past seven years? If it was a restaurant, the menu they served you were: a false flag attack of 911, the price you paid, 3,000 lives. an unnecessary war in Iraq. Price: 4,100 loss of US soldiers; a Patriot Act, price: loss of your civil rights; low federal bench interest rate below 2% for more than two years from 2002 to 2004, price: sub-prime crisis in housing...

Again, I have been banned for simply asking why I was banned previously. 1. No moderators were attacked. 2. No decisions were attacked. So what was the reason for my previous banning? Are you prepared to publicly tell this forum they are not allowed to discuss the rules openly and honestly? Woodrow. It is very easy to creat screen name after screen name. I tried to contact moderators PRIVATELY last week yet not one of you responded. It is hard...

Vincere is a compelling work by Bellocchio, an interesting and significant director with a 45-year career in Italian cinema. Born in 1938, he studied at Italy’s prestigious Centro Sperimental di Cinematografia and then the Slade School of Fine Art in London, where he wrote a thesis on Michelangelo Antonioni and Robert Bresson before directing his first feature—Fists in the Pocket (I pugni in ...

But under the absolute monarchy, during the first Revolution, and under Napoleon the bureaucracy was only the means of preparing the class rule of the bourgeoisie . Under the Restoration, under Louis Philippe, under the parliamentary republic, it was the instrument of the ruling class, however much it strove for power of its own .
Only under the second Bonaparte does the state seem to ...

After Bush took the presidency, he created a huge budget deficit, and a huge trade deficit as well. The deficit will cause a big inflation. So Federal Reserve has to raise the interest rate to deal with it. In June 2006, the overnight interest rate was raised to 5.25%. The Federal 10 years treasury bill was 5.25% too. The 30 years fix mortgage rate reached its recent high: 6.93%. Although this ...
