Here's what I read about. It's not new. Update 2.40 and Update 3.00 had similiar problem and They're suing Sony Entertainment for this. Hopefully, Sony will have it repaired free of charge cuz it's their fault. Sony sued over PS3 update that supposedly bricks consoles - Ars Technica Catty

Dashboard update will coming on Nov 19th New Xbox 360 dashboard coming November 19th - Engadget Xbox 360 will have Netflix streaming movies built-in and able to watch 10,000 movies but... only problem is possibly no CC support. Damn, I want CC so badly, ugh.

I believe it was from crappy motherboard, especially on PC companies and I know that Apple and few PC companies like ASUS are life so longer due better motherboard. I dislike PC laptop due short battery. ASUS isn't bad but very short battery life so hard to find good ASUS laptop with 4 hours of battery and good graphic chipset.

Hmm... It could be a problem with gpu drivers/software or third-party software may be tempering with desktop wallpaper settings. Update the gpu drivers and software or check the task manager for foreign software running in the background. Is the picture bigger than the screen resolution? Resize it to fit in the resolution to see if it can fix the problem.
