Noone knows an exact number because it's not a 1 to 1 ratio.
You will get the best results if you shoot mobs, and how much you miss determines how many arrows it's gonna take.

Excellent idea, and good execution too.
Only downside is that currently market is kinda fucked up by transfers and therefore current values for some items will soon be inaccurate.
How exactly is the average counted on that site? I mean, when lots of data starts to pile up on items, the average doesn´t change as fluidly as the market prices.

It's all going to change after expansion.
Higher level items will give you better skill gains.
So noone knows right now.
I suppose it will be no more than 75 of the best armor sets you can make at any given moment to get to 75 skill level.
