And so the clearing begins on Oak Cliff's Fort Worth Avenue 10:44 AM Sun, Nov 22, 2009 Roy Appleton/Reporter http://oakcliffblog.dallasnews.com/...-begins-on.html The steel teeth tore into the first building at 9:32 a.m. Saturday, drawing applause and cheers. This was a big deal for the 125 or so men, women and children gathered to witness some demolition and look to the future along Fort Worth Avenue in north Oak Cliff. With cameras,...

Gorgeous space!! A must stop (if I'm ever in FW at night). It looks a little on the "cold" side when it isn't crowded, but I"m sure if the place is full, it's quite cool. Love all the wood.

I think the city government generally supports this project and its goal to completion which will get the City of Dallas the "green era" attention they want. We already know the mayor has shown a liking to this project and will continue to jump at the chance to bring a innovative Green building to the city to put on his resume.

The $356 million is just the Construction cost. Also added into the bond issuance will be $42 million to repay the certificates of obligation on the land for the hotel, $50 million for a reserve account, and approximately $58 million for bond fees and capitalized interest, which is money the city will use to pay back the bonds while the hotel is under construction. This isn't a complete ...

Designed by architect HKS Inc., the tower was to include retail and restaurants on the ground floor and office and condo space above. "I was ready, willing and able to put more than $200 million into downtown Dallas," Mr. Hall said. Well, memo to ...
