as a dorf, get a hand axe for the off hand, you wont be using 2 dorf axes till lvl12 (imp crit slash at lvl9 is far better than OTWF). you will probably pick up a few axe enhancements along the way which will apply to a hand axe as well as the dorf axe in your main hand. more con is always nice, especially with the cheap buy for dorfs. int and wis don't need to be too high. rangers get plenty of skills to cover the basics. items count...

what sever should I be on?
Published (2009-11-22 23:02:00)
If you're going to sever something make it a fingernail or toenail or perhaps a bit of hair. There really isn't anything about time differences that will make severing something of greater value any less painful. As for servers, all are on US time and the bulk of players are from the Western hemisphere. However, some have fairly large Asian and Australian populations on them. Depending on time zones they may be on during their...

I know, 1 AC does seem paltry. But Aranticus put them in both these builds. It should be worth something, right?

Piercing Finesse weapons are...
Published (2009-11-21 22:28:00)
I have been avoiding Finesse due to the expensive rapiers. I have found lately a heavy weapon and a dagger, usually puncturing or other goodies on it, is FAR cheaper way to go. Even finesse you can look a Shortswords and Kukris, while not as deadly DPS wise, are far cheaper route to buy decent ones. Especially the banes/disruption/etc. fun stuff on them.

I found that I always seem to get the mobs complete attention, when I whip out the ole Longbow and start squeezing of some arrows. Other than that, just let them come and start swinging early. If you have a two handed weapon.
To get the mobs away from the casters put some skill points into intimidate. Barbs get a nice enhancement for intimidate so you should try to use it anyway. Though if you...

No boosts can be used at the same time as other boosts--activating one triggers a cooldown for all others. Human Versatility is a boost just like Rogue Skill Boost, the only difference being that Human Versatility gives you several boosts for the price of one.
HV displays as a passive enhancement because it does nothing by itself; you have to drag the separate boosts to a hotbar individually (...

I'd reccomend a Warforged Rogue/Wizard and either a Warforged Barbarian or
Fighter. There's plenty of builds for both styles availible on the forums.

ddo wiki tends to be more useful and accurate. The possible exception is with very new things when the overworked wiki volunteers might not have caught up yet. Even then, for whatever reason the Turbine staff seem to like vague discriptions and the compendium is often of limited value.

yes, DDO has mouselook. Default key to activate/deactivate is T.
your main weapon swings are done using the left mouse button. Hold down for chaining standard melee sttacks (or ranged attacks if you are using a ranged weapon.
fighters can in a DPS role. Barbs/paladin/rogue/ranger can to an extent, but most people will expect those clases to be able to do other things. There are no mods ...

DPS self-buffer - Tempest II/Warchanter/Sorc - It will work?

One other thing to keep in mind is that while the DPS ( damage per second) will go up with two weapon fighting, your defense is less w/o a shield. I tend to have a sword and board(shield), or a mace and board as another weapon set for times where defense is required.
