This is a well-specified A/V Receiver, with plenty of grunt. I would say this should fetch between $800.00 and $1,000.00. Dan.

QUOTE (cinema mad @ Nov 7 2009, 02:20 AM) It Appears that the Audyssey Sub EQ is About to get A new firmware update released, Here is what Chris posted only A few mins ago about it.... The MultEQ XT filter resolution of the Sub Equalizer is indeed twice what is possible in AVRs or PrePros because we can use the entire DSP chip in the Sub Equalizer to process the signal. The filters are not 128 points, they are thousands of...

If your happy to go with second hand LuckyDog on this forum has almost finished his clear out sale, but still has a pair of TAG 3.5 speakers for $2k. RRP of them back in the day was $7k and having seen them myself they are still in magnificent condition. Worth a look see and a listen if you can. You could look around for other 2nd hand goodies to fill the other spots as well.

QUOTE (Gizmodium @ Nov 5 2009, 03:59 PM) I can tell you from my own experiences that the S606 mains do benefit from being bi-amped. Also, there is a polarity issue with the internal wiring and they should be connected to the amp from + to - rather than + to +, - to -. Strange I know, but it does work wonders. There's a large thread about it on Whirlpool if you're interested in a read. Thanks Buddy, Ill have a play...

The photos show the receiver is gold in colour. Are these photos from a unit from Asia and not yours? I'm told that gold is the only colour they have for these in HK and Singapore and that they are much cheaper there, like $500 to $600. You seem pretty happy with it, correct? Thanks for posting your review
