Problem with Anti Freeze
Published (2009-12-14 08:39:00)
I had a problem similar to this and for several months I had to add water about every other week. Turned out my radiator had a hairline crack that let steam out but left no traces. One night I turned my car off and heared a wierd hissing sound and the next day my radiator was done. But I first had to add coolant in july and it lasted until about 3 weeks ago.

Both the hks 272 and the Fp2's are a great cam. I think either of the two cams will be more than enough for the turbo. If you were to look at say BC280's then your looking at pushing your powerband up there pretty high. I am currently taking out my 280's and looking to buy and put some 272's in my car, I had a 50trim with a built motor and 280's and it tooked just a little too long for the turbo ...

That depends on what your HP goals are and what turbo you will use, and the
size piping you need.

From what I hear, you should steer clear of the Phantom Grip. I personally do not have any experience with them though.
Next time, try searching. http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showth...t=phantom+g rip
That took less than 30 seconds to find on dial-up.

I'd assume that most responses will be to get a resonator. I need to do the
same thing myself.

Could potentially be a bad headgasket.
Is the car overheating or running hotter than it should?
Can you smell antifreeze in your exhaust?

Either Mitsu MLS or Fel-pro MLS are both good choices with MLS headgaskets.

I have just about the EXACT setup you are describing and run Ferrea valves with no issue. They are a quality product. And I run stock size valves.

The sc rod, would that be the ajustable rod under the dash?
The abbreviation "MC" is for the Master Cylinder, and "SC" is for the Slave Cylinder. The MC rod is under the dash and the SC rod is on the trans and pushes the clutch fork.

If I were local to some graveyards I would look for some for ya but I dont know of a single one nearby in my area.
I dont know about Napa axles. I have already trashed one, I need to check on the other as I think it may have 'done something funny' at the track. I think that have clip issues inside the transmission.
