Hello, I second that. First find out how to or take the car to someone that knows how to adjust the rod on the master cylinder. I truly believe thats your problem.

My ? was can I switch out the rod in the clutch master? The clutch master I recieved is for a non turbo and the rod is shorter in the n/turbo clutch master.

It sounds like a loose electrical problem to me. If your alternator wasnt working your battery would slowly discharge and when it cuts off while driving wouldnt have enough power to restart your car. Something is loose and disrupting your power. I cant see the pics of your battery and wire, but if your connections on your battery are loose, then wow ya. Thats a problem. And the whole 10% BS thing, i have never heard that ever. Ive been testing...

Double synchro vs single synchro
Published (2009-12-09 15:06:00)
I don't want an entire gear cluster as I had the one I have worked with all the goodies. My entire gearset in the tranny is shotpeened and do not want to replace them as they only have 5K on them. It would not make sense to pay for an entire gear cluster when I have a perfectly great one now. My problem is the synchro for #4. Now the link for the rings sounds great and is an option as I am going to do this myself, but no one has answered...

-20 to -30 degree drivetrain fluids

good deal. I am about 4 hours from Palmer. So far it is fairly "warm" for Dec. here. Can I run MT90 in the tranny, T-case, AND rear diff? According to my Haynes manual, I believe I can. It calls for different weights in the rear diff vs the tranny/T-case. However, it does mention 75W in all of these when the temp will drop considerably.

Are the wheels suppose to roll?
Published (2009-12-08 10:52:00)
The wheels should turn indendently one at a time. If you attempted to spin both wheels forward at the same time assuming FWD, they will spin but it will be very hard your working against compression

Try putting it into 4th before you try reverse. I'm sure some one else knows why. I just know it works.

While looking at pics in the Haynes book I noticed that the clutch master I installed was for the non turbo model, I think the push rod on the the non turbo model is shorter. I noticed because the part that connectes the push rod to the clutch pedal is round on the n/turbo, and square on the turbo model. can I just put my old push rod in there or is that non adj. Are the wheels suppose to roll? Hello, I recently replaced my clutch/flywheel and master cylinder/slave cylinder and my question is when the front of the car is jacked up and the manual transmission is in 1st gear with the car off should I be able to turn the front wheels without the motor turning? I thought with it in gear and the car off ...

Sounds like a clutch problem. An act wont usually slip unless it warn out or your making high hp. I would check clutch adjustment but if you not having engagement issues more than likely it is time for a new clutch.

My 6 speed Camaro and Corvette used ATF in the tranny. Just depends on what the engineers designed it to use. Shouldn't do much, could cause wiping of the gear teeth face if you apply enough HP. It's also possible there could be reactions with the yellow metal of the synchros. This would be a good question for Jack.
