my comment on putting an obstruction 1 or 2 " away from the flue outlet is that it wont comply with the MI's and therefore cannot be done.

We've removed an AAV from under the floorboards believing it to be the problem. A second AAV exists in the chimney stack of the bathroom. The smell returned so we ran a vent pipe from our 3rd fl attic bathroom out through the roof (we did'nt have...

I have a big house (250m2) which is in need of total renovation and I am planning the new design. Currently there is an old gas central heating system with loft tank, immersion tank and several pumps needed to push the water around etc. 16 radiators. The house is well insulated. Despite the large house, there are only 2 of us and it is occupied all day. I do not intend to plan ...

Hello, I have a glow-worm ultimate 50FF boiler that had stopped igniting. I contacted British gas who for a fixed price attended to repair the boiler. The engineer found that the bearings on the fan on top of the unit had dried up causing the fan to seize. He sprayed the bearings with WD40 which got the fan running. As WD40 is such light oil is this a good long lasting fix or would...
