But at some point in the future some poor unsuspecting soul won’t know you haven’t primed the surface & may want wall paper. If you’re saving £350 on a plasterer & intent on decorating over bare boards at least have the foresight to spend an extra 15 quid & seal the surface properly, even large cheapskate developers will do that.

Hi all new here. I've scoured the forum and found that I can remove pebbles from my pebbledashing with a shovel or spade, happy happy . Would I be alright just sticking cladding to the render thats left or would I need to remove that aswell. The house is a timber construct and the render appears to go straight onto wood. Also, the reason I'm even thinking about this is after a heavy...

Hi Clarky I would get a bit of practice in on some walls and get used to the materials and tools that you will be using before you tackle any ceilings... Good Luck,,,,

So as the air cools (as it progresses towards the exterior) moisture forms. Every wall construction has a dew point - the point at which condensation forms. Most large insulation manufacturers ...

You can leave the lathes on and overboard. I've come across this a lot, but you will have to cut off the parts that overlap or the boards will sit unevenly. I prefer to remove the lathes and then board myself. I would also remove the architrave and board/skim behind it then replace or renew as necessary.
