Sounds like it, as you should've been able to run the stock one from your 5.0. I'm guessing my chinese knock off didn't get those tabs in on the mold. I'm running a professional products intake, which is the copy of the performer.

a guy I know in Austin has a twin seater with a rollcage that he just upgraded the engine to a 7hp briggs & Stratton that he MIGHT want to sell. He bought my old KDX200 for his son and I think the kid has outgrown the cart. He said its quite fast. I will ask him if he's thinking of selling it this weekend.

Take some of that tab off where the screws are hitting. Not only are your injectors not seated properly, but your fuel rail mounting bolts are not screwed in tight. The fuel rails will eventually loosen up, which will allow your injectors to leak.
I would remove some metal to allow everything to bolt up correctly. Then you won't have any issues.

I use the allen headed bolts for this reason. You can get them at any parts store. They are actually labeled as chevy water pump bolts IIRC. Get the longer ones.

man I've had my eye on those thing for years. just can't bring myself to pay the kind of $$ he/they want for them. when I was going through my paint and body courses one of the instructors brought one in for us to view a little of it. it looked to be very informative.
