I bought a brand new Kimber Pro TLE/RL II back in January and finally shot it at the river camp out in July. It was throwing brass straight back at me, and I was disappointed, so I stopped at about 50 rounds.
I was told that there is a 500 round break in period, but I haven't reached it yet.
But I really love the gun.

What are some reasonable deals for .22 pistols and rifles? This would be for kids to use and I would want something cheap. Growing up my dad had a .22 revolver and semi auto .22 rifle that I could plink with all day in the back yard (he lived in the country). I would like to have something like that for the boys for when we go up to Leah's grandmother's.
BTW, bolt action rifle would be okay ...

What are you going to do with it?
I like the Acogs on an AR for a little bit of distance, this one by Trijicon is nice as well.

damn, that's badass
how much is .22 mag ammo?
also does the whole slide come back when it shoots? or is it like the browning .22 pistols where only like half slides back?

I like them overall. Fun to take to the range, an option for home defense, hunting, and modifications are endless.

Anything that can be used for defense can be used for offense as well, and vice versa. You're going to try to argue a baseless position again. Don't try.

Could you shoot up a target shaped like Harry Reid that says "Here is my health care reform, motherfucker"?

If its gonna be just for punching paper I'd go with a fixed power like a 10x50 or something like that.If hunting with it also go witha variable power as far as brands it depends on how much coin you want to throw down a general rule is 1/4 of what the rifle is worth is how much to spend on optics. If I could I'd get a NightForce, US Optics or Schmidt and Bender.

They have one range line for rifle they called "The Rifle Tube".
When I first heard this I did not know what to expect. But nope, that is exactly waht it is, a tube. About a 3-4' diameter concrete 100 yard tube. It is the most awkward, uncomfortable place I have ever shot. It is loud as all hell even with ear protection and the weird percussion sound down the tube is enough to throw anyone off....
