Ouch!! Deleted reg things? Could have messed something up. As far as recovery console, combofix said you had it installed and that is good. We don't know which reg keys were deleted. Maybe you should take it in to a local shop.

OK guys I think I have sorted this using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. When I ran this it picked up 2 trojans that nothing else had and the problem seems to be resolved. Interestingly while the trojan was active I couldn't visit the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware web page. Shorty

Wicked virus that i can't cure. Please help! I have a virus that I can't seem to clean up with anything. The following are my symptoms: -Can't install new antivirus software (Spybot and Malwarebytes) -Can't access many websites -The computer as a whole is running considerably slower and programs tend to crash after a short time. -The website OEM-search.com keeps popping up (spyware/adware, duh) -Internet Explorer...

I am having my google searches redirected in both Explorer and Mozilla. If I google in my home page bellsouth window it does not happen. On the bottem left of the screen it appears to be redirecting to an IP address starting with 7.7.7 I ran spybot and microtrend office scan with no hits. Here are my hijack this logs. Hi Neal, Let me update you on what has happened. So far, I ran a full system virus scan using Symantec and no virus was detected. I took the advice of tech support at the hospital i work in and reformatted my machine. Hi, I turned the computer on this morning and got a blue screen saying that access to profile was corrupt, I was able to start in safe mode, and I made a new primary account, and deleted the old, corrupt one. Apart from losing a load of files, the computer does seem to be running a lot better. I have ran the Combo Fix, half way through the check, and on re-boot I got the error message....
