Those are from last year. Ballweg is currently at Iowa, and Thompson is at ISU . Both competed at Midlands this week.

Awesome news! Cael is laying the groundwork for long term success. Like Johnny Orr said, you gotta have the horses. They come in bunches don't they? ISU adds an OC most people can really get excited about. ISU wins both men's and women's basketball. Weatherman signs with the good guys, and TD helps the Chargers get a nice playoff win. Maybe, just maybe, ISU has turned that corner. Here is to 2009 being the Year of the Cyclone!

First of all, I know nothing about this sport... I watched ESPN Sportscentury on Dan Gable. It was impressive. I got a few questions: Do both Iowa and Iowa State claim him as a great sports figure? Is he looked down upon for coaching for Iowa? Did Iowa State offer him a job? Thanks.

Can one of you in the know better explain the "new" NCAA wrestling selection procedures? Article in the DSM Reg this morning seems to indicate only conference champs automatic, everyone else now selected by a national committee, not conference committees. Expected impact, if any?
