This is something that has to be arranged through your physician and insurance carrier. Its completely dependent on what the insurance carried deems is necessary and what the prescribing physician is comfortable with. However, if you are sucessful in getting approval for this, please be aware, that it's not an instantaneous thing. It could be up to 12 hrs, maybe longer for someone to get...

Hi Wendy I don't know which came first for your daughter, the smoking or the vomiting. There are indications that smoking marijuana (at least in part by slowing gastric emptying) can contribute to CVS symptoms. OTH, there are people who feel that marijuana helps nausea and appetite. If you can get medicinal grade marijuana then you would not have to worry as much about contaminants. In my ...

Good luck with everything. I kinda of understand what you guys are going through. I'm 23 and I have a degree but I can't use it due to my health. I'm working full time now but it seems like that is all I do since I'm usually sick all of the rest of the time. Luckly my boss is pretty understanding and will work with me. I mentioned CVS at my second interview, not my first.

Char, Vent away. Unfortunately this senario is becomming more and more common with increased use of hospitalists. I understand both sides of the coin. I am not sure what can be done to be honest. More and more people are discovering that yes, even with a written plan in place with instructions on how our CVS needs to be treated, more and more we are hearing that it is the choice of ...

I'm glad you have been given a diagnosis and can finally start a treatment plan. My story is fairly similar to yours as far as the numerous tests you endured, I understand that is fairly common.

I know that when you feel like that, there aren't many words that are found to be encouraging. The most encouraging thing I can offer you is that this episode will pass...sure it will undoubtedy come again, but you will feel better soon if only for a while. I am not one who likes to go to the ER either, but getting re hydrated and given IV anti-nausea meds WILL make you feel better, sooner. ...
