i could potentially run another wire through the wall to the router downstairs, but i dont have a cable crimper on hand, i would just as soon buy a second router for me upstairs. I might go out and pickup a crossover cable first, see how that turns out. If i run into any other issues ill keep you posted, thanks for the help.

Sometimes routers overheat and need to be unplugged, wait for 5 seconds, and plugged back in. Try that, otherwise... Are you sure the Wii was connected to your network and not a neighbors? Try going into the Wii Settings and setting up the internet connection again to make sure you are connecting to the right place.

Heres the situation.Iv got one pc that is connected to the families router via cable.iv also got my own pc which has a wireless network card.Theres also a laptop that connects to the router wirelessly but im not worried about that.How do i set up a network between the two desktops?
