I've tried a lot of those cheat codes over the weeks, but it's just hit and miss as I really don't know what would need changing.

Ubuntu 9.10 Panels
Published (2009-12-17 04:49:00)
Now I need some help please. I foolishly - without thinking - deleted the default Panel across the bottom of the monotor. The one allowing me to set up how many screens I want. Along with all the other default abilities. I put a new Panel there. But I cant find the "Screens" ability and everything else. In the 'Add to Panel' comand. Can any-one tell me how to get it back. Without reinstalling Ubuntu 9.10 please.

If you press F2-F5 at the Knoppix boot screen, you should see several options. I don't remember what it is, but there is an option to boot into console (no graphics). Please try this and let us know how that goes. I am thinking that this version of Knoppix is using a graphics driver that is not compatible with your video card, this would get us pointed in the right direction.
