^ Exactly. She was pushing an angle from the start, with only token quotes from the dancers/studios in the thinnest attempt at "balance" I've ever seen. The bit where she has a go at Felix for giving up uni? GRRRR. __________________ I may not be perfect, but that's perfectly okay with me.

I agree soulshine - nothing has toned me like pole. I do it cause I love it, not cause I think I look sexy! That article is typical of the general feelings about pole and the people who practise it. They writer should have come to Pole Candy last week - the first 2 pole acts were guys and I'd like to see her saying it wasn't athletic after seeing the Pole Boys perform. __________________ Blair: Spare me those expressive eyebrows, I...

Not many surprises in the PSD and rookie draft today. Hardly worth mentioning really, but it does feel like it puts an end to 2009! I'm off on holiday tomorrow. Have a great Christmas everyone! It's been fun and I will be seeing you all in the 2010 thread.

Oooohhh, now I see why you're angry. pretty condescending and bitter/petty article... she hardly even addressed the art/fitness/empowering side or approach any other schools (schools that aren't overtly sexual) or research much on the other comp. no balance at all.... __________________

You don't need to buy a machine. I don't know which one you're talking about, which part of the thighs is it supposed to work? You could start with lunges and squats, they can be done with just your body weight and get great results IMO.

I bought some digital scales from Kmart. They were a bit cheap though. The weight measurement seems accurate, but the fat measurement tells me I'm obese (which I'm not)...

Thats great Cheeky - work on the stamina and the speed will come. Says me - who only completed 1.2 tonight Long way til week 3! I loved the podcast though, made it super easy to just put the headphones on and go for it without watching the clock. I might pick a less hilly route next time though!

^ Ground passes are great however they won’t get you seats on centre court or court 1. BUT you’ll get to wander around and watch the players warming up (awesome for the first week b/c you'll see everyone!) You could be lucky and see some ranked players in early matches but as the tournament goes on you’ll probably only see the lower ranked ...

These activities are my 'exercise' and my passion Aerials - trapeze and silks classes with the circus school have me totally hooked! I exhaust myself every time and barely realise it because I'm having so much fun. The only problem is I train to fatigue too often because I don't want to stop. I have seen big improvements in my strength and flexibility and I get to twist around in the ...

My husband and I both own a pair. There is no ankle support, no arch support, etc. because it's supposed to simulate barefoot walking/running. Wearing them is a pretty weird sensation - you can feel the difference between grass and asphalt, cobblestones and grates, and your feet definitely have to work harder than if they were in regular shoes. My husband bought them for running but also ...
