let trade has 2 metallic blacks on his website, but they are 228s.
I tried the 228s in HK and they were huge.. The proportions just don't look right for some reason.
Italy Station ( http://www.italystation.com/index.html ) also has a few 227s and 228s.

My last bag was a Chanel jumbo caviar flap last year... and it wasn't a bargain at the time at $3600, but given the fact that it's $4260 now, I think so

I ALWAYS get the heels and soles done by a 'shoe man' on all my shoes designer or not.
They last so much longer and I really think its worth the extra $$$ to do it.

I'm a big fan of the statement shoe and would probably wear one of my numerous pairs of birght red shoes with it. You could definitely accessorise with jewlery and shoes to match.
But a simple black round toe or peep toe pair would be a great choice.

I have been looking for these for ages as well, but have not found
anywhere, not even online. I think the best bet is stalking ebay, as since
they are from a past season, they seem to be sold out.

stick with the sterling silver/ stainless steel/ gold posts. Or the ones you buy from the chemist/ beauticians. I don't have particularly sensitive ears thank god, but even the ol' costume store ones leave a bit of gunk sometimes.
I find it helps if you spray the ears/earrings with that antiseptic spray before you put them in.
