I made buttermilk pancakes today with brown sugar, lemon juice and poached pears. I couldn't taste any difference between the buttermilk pancakes and regular kind, but the boy swore they tasted less "floury". Apologies for the double post... what are other people eating for brekky??

I had some eggs nearing their due date so I made a couple of quiches with bacon, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms. Served with a lettuce and cucumber salad, and a side of steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Later this week is honey chicken with rice, home-made pizza, and steak salad.

Was it good?
I'm looking at going to the Collins st, Melb one or the Camberwell store.
Thanks
Last time I went to Camberwell (a few months ago) their shredded beef was horrible, tough, and tasted old.

If you can get it by the case (and therefore under $20/bottle as it's somewhere around the $23 mark), the 2009 Shaw & Smith Sauvignon Blanc would be my pick.
Otherwise try Villa Maria Private Bin or Wairau River sauv blanc - both Kiwi. I'd probably steer clear of the cheaper Kiwi sauv blancs like Giesen and Oyster Bay as you can get a much better wine for $15-20.
Have fun tasting
