I love the cat idea! We have 2 cats too and they are like our children! We have been trying to work out how to have them in our ceremony! (If we could get them to behave on leashes! They would walk down the aisle!) I love cake topper idea!!

Miss_Oritz , could you hire a marquee, then depending on the weather reports the day before get it set up!?
No wet weather plan is so risky.
Heaven27 , I think I'll feel relief when its over too.. I'm excited, but I'm ready to be married and 'relaxed'... don't think i'll suffer the post wedding blues! haha...

I wouldn't think there would be any expectation of a present, and logistically it might be a bit tricky, as usually gifts are put on the table at the reception, which you won't be at.
But, the staple gun sounds like it would be a useful and much appreciated gift, and not expensive enough to make the bride feel awkward about just having you just at the ceremony. So, I think it would be a nice...

I had trouble also and ended up buying from Cinderella Bella... unfortunately for you they are in Melbourne. But worth a look, you can buy online from them too.

A year out from my wedding I started having monthly facials at Ella Bache, and I can really recommend this, really great results. I had the last facial 3 weeks before the wedding, and then the week before I also had a body polish/massage, also highly recommend this.

Wedding ring box for ceremony
FH and I got our wedding rings from two different jewellers. His jeweller only had ring boxes with 1 slot, while mine had a box with 2 slots, but the box is just awful.
I've had a look online, but I can't find any traditional black leather boxes.
Any help would be fabulous!
Thanks x...

I haven't gotten to that stage yet (though it's approaching like a freight train, better get a move on), but I can suggest this...
Have an A list and a B list...put those you are iffy about on your B list (and all obvious important invites on the A list)...when rsvp's start coming in, for every 1 that's come back as a no, invite 1 on the B list. That way you're not really 'forced' to invite...

I remember an old thread like this, but let's start a new one.
Married voguettes, would you be so kind as to share your experience with us? In particular could you name:
1. One thing from your wedding day that went brilliantly well; and
2. One thing from your wedding day that you might do differently if given the chance.
TIA!

Hi ladies,
just wondering what other brides to be are doing for prep for their day.
I have been working out for years, but in February I started to do it pretty full on!
I personally try to work out 6 days a week. I now have a toning program that has different things every day and runs 3 different days. I've lost about 8kg but still a long way to go...
I also eat a fairly ...

IMHO you can't 'ban' children, and you definitnely can't 'ban' newborns and babies who are breastfeeding. the first thing you can do is address your invitations to the parents only. you can also make your wishes known on the guest grapevine that parents will need to make alternative arrangements for ...

The trend of non-matching bridesmaids seems to be ever growing (and I have to say I love mis-matched bridesmaids !) but what do you guys think about non-matching groomsmen?
The Mr. has suggested just asking his GM to wear their best suit or giving them some general guideline but not worrying about having them all identical.. For some reason I am not nearly as keen on this idea as I am for ...
