ChicPinky, I LOVE that BM dress. Do you mind telling me where it's from as the cour and style would be perfect for what we're thinking too. And, we too were thinking yellow tulips and white cala lillies, although we may use something other than white lilies. I like the idea of iris'. Depending on the style of wedding, you could look at hydrangeas as they come in so many different shades, from white, pink, blue, silver, purple....

Oh ok... I didn't realise that... that's cool. Up to you obviously... but in my IMO i would still check out wholesale as often you'll be able to find something of a similar quality cheaper.

^ shinestar: I LOVE that! We were going to have all the places we have been on holidays, but I just ran out of time to organise it. I am not sure if I read it here or in a mag, but a couple who had their dog model all the table numbers around its neck and then they used the photos of this for the table numbers. Very cute too! I think something like either of them adds a lovely personal touch

^^ we did the word of mouth thing ... and not a lot of people bought us gifts. I think most thought that the gift was their presence at our wedding (which all had to travel for)... (we weren't a fan of card in invite either) only a few bought us gifts from their own ideas (eek! so that's good.. may have some ebay items soon ... hehe

Im not in Sydney so cant help with a specific rec, but we have a similar set up and we are getting a day co-ordinator for the same reason. For our venue we are literally renting the blank space, so nothing is included and we are having to hire absolutely everything, (from about 6 different vendors) Nor is there a "functions co-ordinator" or anyone who can give us recommendations or advice.. I wanted someone there on the day...

I don't think she's treating you horribly, nor are you over-reacting. you seem very confused and it sounds like there wasn't much discussion of people's expectations of what being a bridesmaid involved when she asked and you accepted.
if you can't afford to pay for everything she wants you to you need to have this conversation with her. she may be on a tight budget but she also needs to be ...

Well, it is 58 days till my wedding (I think), but my list might be just as long...
1. Pick up wedding dress and finalise alterations
2. Hair and make up trial
3. Organise shoes, jewellery, etc
4. Pick up flower girl dress, and suits for FH and bestmen
5. Decide on wedding cake flavours (yummy!)
6. Decide on reception menu (again... yummy!)
7. Buy gifts for bestmen and mum and dad

I had chairs arriving, flowers arriving, petals put down for isle, all
pretty simple luckily. However I had friends available who did all this. Do
you have any friends who wouldn't mind? Mine were really excited to help
out, and they got it all 100% right.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with an online registry? Can anyone recommend one that they found good?

That's definitely not good that they informed you with such little notice, but perhaps they themselves didn't anticipate their grant would be successful? (I'm not trying to defend them here!)
And from the pic of the church on your website, isn't the steeple off to the side and away from the main entrance like they say? Perhaps you could instruct your photographer to ensure he/she takes shots ...

Hi Lovely Voguettes,
I am really struggling to find a photographer in Melbourne I actually really like. Wait no, I did find someone I loved, jonas peterson ( www.jonaspeterson.com ) but he's in Brisbane and he's already booked - check out his work it is fantastic!. I also really like those kinda vintagey quirky American photographers that are featured so heavily on the american blogs. ...

Hi ladies,
just wondering what other brides to be are doing for prep for their day.
I have been working out for years, but in February I started to do it pretty full on!
I personally try to work out 6 days a week. I now have a toning program that has different things every day and runs 3 different days. I've lost about 8kg but still a long way to go...
I also eat a fairly ...
