I am going through the same thing--it is hard. I think I am getting the gutts to BC!?! I have had a section in the back come out because of the difference in hair texture. My hair is SUPER thick and the thought of having to work with it all natural is scarry...lol but if others can maybe I can too...let me know how your's turns out...

Hello. I'm new to the site. I have been looking around, it is amazing!! I am having trouble deciding what my hair type is. I have coarse, dry hair. And alot of frizz. Here is a pic hopefully someone can help me. This is the only pics I have of my curly hair I always straighten it.

Hi All, I’m a newbie. I’ve been obsessed with reading the boards the past few weeks and figured it was time to introduce myself. I’ve found some really good information but it can be overwhelming! I’ve always had wavy hair, very oily hair. I’ve worn it very possible length and tons of different styles. another newbie just saying hi! I've left my hair curly for around 3 years now, used the CG method for a while til my hair started just looking greasy, now use shampoo again - I'm a student, I look for cheap not cone free unfortunately! Originally a 3a I'm now a mix between 3a and 2b/c as I made the huge mistake of allowing a novice hairdresser to thin my already fine hair and it no longer goes into the lovely ringlets it used...

I had Gene Wilder, poofy blonde locks when I was a tot; it darkened and I grew it out until high school; chopped it off and started highlighting it blonde and straightening it; went to college, became a red-head and let it start to grow and stay curly; and just recently went back to brunette and straightening it every so often. Welcome Brianna. It would help us all if we could see a picture of your hair. It will take a while for your hair to adjust and you have to learn to get used to your natural hair and figure out what works for you. Try different products to define your curls.

Hello and welcome mystic412 My hair is 3b with some 3a in it. I'm using Bain De Terre products right now. my hair is very soft and natural looking. I use a small amount of ecostyler after I hop out of the shower and thats it. The Bain products are very docile and they do not build up nor do they feel waxy. look into them if you like my pics. pics in my sig
