What do I have to do to look...

Getting stuck in a time warp seems to make our age not match our appearance...and it's not always good to look younger. Sometimes, wearing child-like clothes when you're a grown woman makes you look young...from a distance...but, up close, it can look foolish. I have an acquaintence. She's 4'9" (which she's obsessed with, and she never shuts up about, like we didn't notice or something). Anyway, she wears...

What do I have to do to look older?

All good ideas...I'd also ask what sort of makeup do you wear? For your hair, maybe wear a bun. A french roll was a great rec.

One of my FB friends was just horrified by this movie - said it should've been rated X. I asked her if she knew anything about it, had read the book, etc. and no, of course not. She had seen previews but didn't know anything else about the movie. I was a little disgusted with her reaction, to be honest. I mean, this is real life for some individuals, and this upper-middle-class woman is saying it should've been rated X and...

I need less anesthesia, and I'm a natural redhead. I've never once had an ear infection, either.

I heard about "Kick a Ginger" last year from DS's preschool teacher and one of the other MOMs (who are both beautiful redheads). Ridiculous.

I won't take calls, but I do check my blackberry/emails when I'm on
vacation (even though my boss chastises me). I just like to not come back
to 500 emails. Sometimes it backfires though, because I'll read an email
from someone who is being not so nice/bright, and I have low tolerance for
such things.

You're right, I'm not going to watch 12 minutes of that right now, but I have a messy morning house, and kids running around yelling -

I just read your signature, and I have a question. Are they denying coverage on a person who has HAD an abortion, or denying coverage OF the abortion?
Because seriously, have healthcare PAY for a woman to have an abortion? I don't see how...

Maybe you could wear structured clothing and rich, saturated colors. Light colors and fluttery clothes are considered girlish, so wearing the opposite would probably help.
Also, if you wear makeup, go for matte finishes instead of shiny or sparkly.

I think it's great. Not sure if you're asking if it's possible or just talking about it? i have a really good guy friend as well. It's totally platonic. He seems to have a lot of " girl friends".

The only houseguests we ever have are my immediate family and they are
absolutely NO BOTHER. Mom cooks every meal we're home for while they're
visiting, my siblings and my niece pick up after themselves... It's
absolutely no stress at all. I guess because we were all brought up the
same way by Mom it is a non-issue.

as a wife and mother, do you ever feel oppressed?
in order to be happy do you have to silence a part of yourself?
are your husband's needs met more often than your own?
do you feel you had to give up part of yourself when you married?
some of you will answer that you are more complete with your mate, can you see that maybe you've been brainwashed to believe your life is better with a partner?...

Depends on the time of year. I may or may not take the time to lotion all over when I'm all covered up anyway in the winter.
Have you finished your Christmas shopping?

Your very brave for speaking your mind sweetie. I do appreciate it though because I often wished I could say that but knew I would be eaten alive on here. Good for you.

Does everyone in the world except me like pumpkin pie? I don't know why, I've just never cared much for pumpkin. I'm going to give it another chance this Thanksgiving and make this recipe for Pumpkin Pie with Press-In Shortbread Crust .
That brings me to my second question. What would be the best way to prepare a pumpkin pie at home and transport it to my in-laws' house four hours away? ...

I'm not going to lie. I go to that website and giggle uncontrollably each time. Usually when I'm just sitting at the computer laughing my husband will say, "People of Walmart???" And he usually is right. Of course, I can just go down to our local Walmart and see some crazy stuff so I don't necessarily need that website...I do think some of those pictures were taken at our local Walmart.
