Hair dryer recs

I have this Conair for my daughter. It is good for the money ($29.99) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_oh_product I use a Sedu, which is really, really expensive, but I LOVE it ($135.00). It is really worth the money. You can really tell the difference. My hair never really gets frizzy after I use this dryer, and it also dries my hair quickly: http://www.amazon.com/Sedu-Ultrapowe...8862911&sr=1-1

Morocco Method Lunar schedule?

Reviving a long dormant thread. I'm interested in this for my thinning hair. They have a sample pack of shampoo/conditioner plus a gel (almost all 2 oz products) for $45 which is not too bad. Mind you I'm not looking to purchase tomorrow but my hair is so fine and thin this scalp showing through is kind of getting me down. In an odd way CG just exacerbates it as before I could brush it out and hairspray the heck out of it and it...

Nothing from Komaza, yet. I've been buying the AfroDetangler since beginning of Feb--on my 4th bottle--and have NEVER gotten a sale notice of any kind from there.

Long or short?

I'm 40, and my hair is at the bottom of my brastrap. I personally like mine to be longer than shoulder length because it then gains enough weight to reduce the bulk somewhat. That being said, I'm sure there are those who think I am being overwhelmed by hair, and they probably have a point. But, I like it, which is all that matters for now.

Best diffuser for drying roots?

One more question... Should I invest in one of those negative ion or ionic blowdryers or whatever they're called. Do they make a difference in drying time and frizz control? Thanks!

I'm not sure about suave deep cleaning for men, but the Vo5 isn't all that good. The regular suave clarifying is clarifying, but not chelating. You need a shampoo that also chelates. Which means, removes the build up. Sally's sells a treatment that comes in a small packet. You mix it with water and it turns into a gel. You put that gel on your head and let it sit for 2-3 mins. My guess is that sounds like more what you need. I...

Your hair is amazing! Have you tried the CHS hair clamps? Dont know if your hair may be too heavy - would be handy if you could borrow some first to try them just to see.

Hi Mebsy, I TRY to not have hair envy and consider what my hair is capable of doing but it's difficult. I compare it to losing weight but still feeling fat when you look in the mirror.

lauren you'll find a lot of curlies here can't use Stearalkonium Chloride & Cetrimonium Chloride in high doses. Even though the Suaves and V05's are supposed to be lighter, the high percentage of these surfactants can make your hair feel "build-upy" from a a ruffed up cuticle. In addition you can get OC'd more easily when using a co-wash first and then a rinse out.
I stopped co-washing a ...

I've found that combing with a wide toothed comb in the shower only when
soaking wet eliminates a lot of frizz and doesn't pull out the curl. Are
you familiar with the CG method?

I'm not sure about other countries, but I was shocked (and very excited!) when XV Beacon hotel in Boston had a great full size blowdrier with a good diffuser attachment! I have never seen this anywhere else, it was a great suprize!

Totally go for it. Did you read the thread about Lorraine Massey. She's
practically an all condish curly girl now and rumor is she only uses
condish to style. And her hair looks great! I've been thinking about doing
this also. My hair seems to look its best when it only has a leave in
condish in it.

Mousse Lovers - Need feedback
OK, so I recently discovered my hair doesnt need gel for hold. Which has prompted me to revisit mousse (which did zip for me when I first transitioned 18 months ago). I am currently a VERY THICK, med porosity and texture, 3a/b looking for loose texture, definition without crunch and volume control.

I'm one of those "if you have nothing nice to say, don't post at all" people. If it's a matter of "which do you like better" then I can answer safely, but I haven't (to my knowledge) ever said it looks bad.
I just don't post.

My hair would be a gd awful nest if i messed with it that much when it was wet.
I guess it may work for some, but i cant afford the frizz or volume this would provoke. I also dont see why we couldnt do the same thing with our towel of choice.
Lastly, she looked like she had muppet hands

are you still scrubbing your scalp at all?
I will use one conditioner for everything sometimes. I think I like that better.

A good way to tell if you need protein is to do a strand test.
You take a strand of hair, wet, hold it at each end and stretch. If it snaps immediately or stretches very little, you need moisture. If it stretches 20%-30%, you probably have a good moisture/protein balance. If it stretches much more than about 30% and doesn't shorten up again (strand stays all limp and strectched out) you may ...

Dry detangling = I break my hair.
Wet detangling with a good detangler = I get the knots out.

It could be worse, you could be a 2 in the front and and 1 in the back, like me!! I tried for the 1st time a denman brush on wet hair which helped create more definition. I wonder how this brush does this
