Masonic Pattern... graph or other
Published (2009-11-30 15:04:00)
I didnt realize the actual compass and square was trademarked. I figured that there were certain patterns of it that others may have copyrighted/trademarked. I actually thought I heard it could not be trademarked... either way sorry about that. I dont want to be a rule breaker!!!! My husband is working with the master of his lodge now to try to locate some pattern for me.

That IS adorable. I've only seen the handle-less patterns too. If I were to make one, I would make a rectangle that would be joined on either side of the handle; sewn together at the bottom, and a loop and button at the top. You would almost have to custom design it for the mug, I would think. To get it to look similar to the picture, you would need to use sock or sport weight yarn. You could make the bottom cuff with fpdc, and below is a...

OK you are going to laugh at me, but I made one of these potholders... http://www.freecraftunlimited.com/cr...potholder.html And I was making it big because I think I crochet a bit to tight. My Niece was wearing it around on her head, my mother tried to get me to put the tassels on the two ends, so she could have it as a hat.

Darlene, Leisure Arts published these books, but they are currently out of print (still under copyright protection, though). You can sometimes find the booklets for sale on ebay or small local craft stores that haven't sold out of the amount they originally purchased before the books were discontinued.

If you mean you want someone to make a copy of the pattern and send you the copy, your owning the book has absolutely nothing to do with that copyright infringement. Sorry.

I have been looking for a pattern for a crocheted hoodie myself and have not been able to find one. There are a few knit ones you can convert to crochet.. there are websites that tell you how. You could also make rectangular pieces in whatever stitch you want then sew them together and make a hood or take any cardigan/sweater pattern you like and add a hood. I've resorted to doing that ...

Hi, Is it the granny squares, where as you go up the squares get smaller? I think you make a big square for bottom part and depends on how many squares you keep making medium to smaller squares. The squares are green and the edges are white of the squares. Connect from bottom up and decorate as you'd like. Some even crochet a yellow or gold star for the top of tree. I hope you get an idea ...

The first one looks like it was made on the Knifty-Knitter and instead of drawing the top up in a round you sew it closed flat and add the tassels. The others look like they were crochet in much the same way. make a copy of the picture and you should be able to duplicate them. good luck.

I found this free crochet pattern link for a granny square stocking. You might check out this link at CPC too. There were other links but are bad now due to Hometown closing down and that may have been where your other pattern was.

It seems to me there was a graphed star pattern on Lionbrand...off to look... edit- here: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/60254.html It may be too big, perhaps you could group 4 squares into 1 to downsize it?

I don't think there's a site like what you're looking for. Do you have access to a digital camera or scanner? If so, take a picture of your partially-completed afghan and post it here. Somebody may recognize it and be able to tell you what magazine issue you should be looking for.

don't know if the patterns still out there... maybe not, but there might be somethign similar. Do you remember what the squares looked like? Granny squares? Flowers in the center? Open work squares? Pineapple squares? Circles in squares? Do you still have the sweater and could you post a pic? Maybe draw what you remember, if you remember anything or can even draw?

I have not seen any patterns for crochet but I have seen them for Cross stitch on the Web. I bought the cross stitch pattern and it is difficult but thought if I used a Tunision afghan pattern and cross stitched a simplified pattern it might work. I will let you know when I get that far.
