Where did you plugged in the Mic? Frontpanel or rear connector?   When in rear: use the creative audio-console to change the flexi-jack function to microphone.   hmm... and when you right-click on the volume control in taskbar and move to the input-devices, change the default kommunication to the microphone you use.

I'm having the same issue here.   Product: X-Fi Elite Pro (2.18.0013, latest from CL Update) OS: XP Pro x64 SP2 + all the latest winupdates HW: AMD 790X Chipset (Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4), AMD Phenom II 9550, 8Gb of DDRII RAM   It would be nice to have beta drivers for test, because a) the shutdown is SLOOOOOOW b) DLLML.EXE catches an exception on startup randomly   Will report if the ...

I have the same problem.  There is sound for everything except games when using SPDIF and DTS encoding enabled.  However,  I found out how to make it work.  Just set the playback device to speakers and it will send send 5.1 DTS through SPDIF.   I don't know why it works this way though.  I mentioned this in another post concerning Windows 7 shutdown hang with DTS encoding enabled and sent an ...
