1997 Cobra, 10 or 26 Spline?
Published (2009-12-06 21:09:00)
It was nice, but there is a story behind it. I wanted to try a twin disk back in early 08 so I chose the 2007 GT500 twin disk and bought the kit from Tousley for about a grand. I also bought an adjustable pivot ball because I figured I'd need one, and I bought a Liberty 26 spline input shaft for my T56. I got the car up on jack stands to start the job, and I put my Craftsman wrench on one of the driveshaft bolts. I could not get that...

(my friend bought the car modded, and was switching to a TH400) I sent it to Walt to go through and just make sure all was good... (i really didnt believe it was supposed to be loud) Of course it wasnt. Tranny was bone stock internally and whoever installed the...

but can I bolt on the old style hangers to my 98 and scrap the factory ones? That would open me up to many more catback options.

I'm also now supsect of the gains reported with the Sullivan. If there were gains to be had all across the RPM band, you'd think another company would have developed one by now.

you can loosen the ac compressor and move out out of the way w/o disconnecting the lines. i don't remember pulling the crank sensor to be that big of a deal though.

Manley H-beams (a set of Termi rods would be great), ARP 2k rod bolts, and Diamond or CP pistons with a stainless ring package. MP John has great pricing on Diamond pistons w/ reliefs and stainless rings. IMHO Diamond and CP are the two best pistons made, i hear the MMR Manley's are nice... then theres everyone else. My CP's were works of art man... the machining was amazing

Wow, that is very cool. You guys say high rpm applications na.... If this was purchased prior to a centri or turbo install would there be any benefit to install it on the car while saving for the other parts? Do the gains even begin to show at say 5500-6000rpm? Would 4.56s be enough to overcome the low end limitation? Glad you guys have a reasonable price too. That makes it all the more...
